GBU-16 Paveway Airplane Model

The Paveway GBU-16 has the basic structure of the US 1,000 pound general-purpose bomb. This guided bomb used both GPS and laser guidance to hit its targets. This smart bomb was first manufactured by Raytheon but taken over this century by Lockheed Martin. The guidance system is not only laser guided but also has anti jamming technology so interference from the enemy is generally ignored. This helps to improve the delivery of the 1,000 pound warhead to its target. This bomb is still being used by the US military in the Global War on Terror and in the Afghanistan Theater.
